This Genuine Ford front drive axle shaft, cataloged as Motorcraft assembly TX-814, is the left-hand driver-side half shaft for the front-wheel-drive Ford Focus. It carries torque from the transaxle to the driver-side front wheel through an outboard constant-velocity joint, an inboard tripod joint, and the connecting shaft, with factory-sealed boots that retain grease and exclude dirt and water across the full range of steering and suspension travel. It fits 2012 through 2018 Focus models with the 2.0L engine and automatic transaxle, in the left front position, and is the mirror companion to the right-side shaft. Owners replacing this part usually report clicking or popping while turning, a growing vibration under acceleration, or grease thrown from a cracked boot, all classic worn-joint symptoms. Fitting a complete assembly restores quiet, vibration-free driving and correct halfshaft length and joint angles. Built to Ford OEM fit and function for a bolt-in replacement. The front axle retaining nut is a single-use fastener and must not be reused; install a new axle nut and torque it to Ford specification to preserve correct hub bearing preload and safe operation.
