This Motorcraft power brake booster vacuum pump provides the supplemental vacuum that direct-injection turbocharged engines require for consistent brake assist. Because a 3.5L EcoBoost does not generate steady intake manifold vacuum under boost, this auxiliary pump maintains reserve vacuum to the brake booster so pedal effort stays low and predictable in all driving conditions. It is engineered for the 2013 through 2016 Ford F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost and the 2015 through 2017 Expedition and Navigator, matching the factory mounting, electrical connector, and vacuum port so it installs in the original location. Drivers of a vehicle with a failing vacuum pump often report a hard or high brake pedal, increased pedal effort especially on the first stop, an illuminated brake or ABS warning lamp, or an audible buzzing and grinding from the pump.
