This genuine Ford lower coil spring insulator, catalog number DV6Z-5586-B, is the cushioning pad that sits between the bottom of the front coil spring and the lower spring seat on the strut. It isolates the metal spring from the seat, preventing metal-to-metal contact, damping road vibration, and eliminating the squeaks and groans that occur as the spring loads and rotates during suspension travel. It fits the 2013-2018 Ford Focus. A worn, torn, or missing lower insulator commonly causes creaking or popping over bumps and while turning, and lets the spring shift and chafe against the seat, accelerating wear.
