  This genuine Ford cruise control switch is the left-hand steering-wheel switch pack that gives the driver fingertip control of the speed control system on 2015 through 2018 Ford Fusion and 2013 through 2016 Ford Edge models equipped with adaptive cruise control. Mounted in the left spoke of the steering wheel, the switch houses the on, set, resume, coast, and cancel functions and sends the driver's commands to the vehicle's control modules over the electrical circuit, letting the system maintain or adjust a set speed and, on adaptive-equipped vehicles, manage following distance. Because it is handled constantly, the switch is a wear item whose contacts and membrane can fail, and a failing switch shows up as buttons that do not respond, a speed control that will not engage or set, intermittent operation, or cruise that drops out on its own.
