It is the band-style clamp that secures and seals the slip-joint connection between the exhaust pipe and the muffler, holding the two sections in alignment while maintaining a gas-tight joint under the vibration and thermal expansion of a running exhaust system. It fits 2013-2019 Ford Explorer models with the 3.5L non-turbo V6 and the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, and is supplied originally as part of the muffler and pipe service group.
