This genuine Ford Motorcraft fuel pump and sender assembly is the complete in-tank fuel delivery module for 2013-2019 Ford Explorer and 2013-2019 Ford Flex models. The unit combines the electric fuel pump, the fuel level sending unit, and the internal pressure regulator into a single serviceable assembly that draws fuel from the tank and supplies it to the engine at the correct pressure. Because the gas-engine fuel pressure regulator is an internal, non-serviceable component, the complete pump assembly is replaced when it fails. Symptoms of a failing module include extended cranking, no-start conditions, stalling or surging under load, a whining or buzzing noise from the tank, hesitation during acceleration, and an inaccurate or erratic fuel gauge caused by a worn sending unit. Installing this Motorcraft assembly restores proper fuel volume, pressure, and level reporting. It includes the sending unit and is designed for the specific tank geometry of these applications. Inspect and renew the tank seal ring and lock ring as needed, and relieve fuel system pressure before servicing.
