When the sensor drifts or fails, automatic climate control stops holding the set temperature, blows hot air when cooling is requested or the reverse, cycles the blower up and down for no apparent reason, allows the windshield to fog because the defog logic loses its humidity input, or sets climate control diagnostic trouble codes. This number supersedes DB5Z-19C734-B, DB5Z-19C734-C, DB5Z-19C734-D, DB5Z-19E616-B and YH1928. Access normally requires removing lower instrument panel trim to reach the aspirator hose. Confirm that the aspirator hose is clear and correctly routed during installation, because a blocked, cracked or disconnected hose produces exactly the same symptoms as a failed sensor and is a common cause of repeat repairs.
