• Description:

  This Motorcraft engine cooling motor and fan assembly is the complete radiator fan module for 2013-2020 Ford Fusion, carrying Ford engineering number DG9Z-8C607-J. It integrates the electric fan motor, fan blade, and shroud into one serviceable unit that draws cooling air through the radiator and air-conditioning condenser during idle and low-speed driving. The assembly is controlled by the powertrain control module, which varies fan output based on coolant temperature and air-conditioning system pressure to keep the engine within its normal operating range. Symptoms that lead a Fusion owner to replace this part include coolant temperature climbing in stop-and-go traffic, air conditioning that cools poorly at idle but improves at highway speed, a fan that stays off or runs at full output continuously, and bearing whine or rattle from the fan motor. Because the motor, blade, and shroud are supplied together and are not individually serviceable, the full module is installed as a unit.
