• Description:

  Genuine Ford passenger-side front axle shaft assembly for 13-20 Ford Fusion sedans. The axle shaft is the driveline component that carries torque from the transaxle out to the wheel hub and includes the inner and outer constant-velocity joints integrated into the shaft assembly. When the original axle shaft fails the symptoms range from a popping or clicking sound on turns, which is the classic outer CV joint failure mode, through to grease leakage from a split boot that progresses to a complete joint failure. The Ford-supplied shaft is the correct length, spline count, and joint specification for the Fusion's transverse drivetrain and is supplied complete with both CV joints, the boots, and the necessary clips. Installation requires removing the wheel, separating the hub assembly from the strut, and prying the inner joint out of the transaxle; the new axle goes in along the reverse path. Always replace the axle nut and inspect the wheel bearing during the procedure.
