The Motorcraft KM-5415 is the engine coolant overflow, or reservoir return, hose used on the 2013-2018 Ford Escape and the 2014-2022 Ford Transit Connect equipped with the 2.5L engine. This hose links the cooling system to the coolant recovery reservoir, letting coolant expand into the tank as the engine heats and return as it cools so the system stays full and correctly pressurized. Recovery hoses run at lower pressure than the main radiator hoses, but the rubber still ages over time, becoming brittle and cracking or splitting at the reservoir barb and connection points.
