• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford Motorcraft rear left disc brake caliper, catalog number BRCF-429, the hydraulic clamping assembly that carries the piston and presses the brake pads against the rear rotor to slow and stop the vehicle. It is the driver-side companion to the passenger-side unit and fits a broad range of Ford and Lincoln car and crossover applications, including the 2013-2020 Ford Fusion with 1.5L, 1.6L, 2.0L, and 2.5L engines, the 2015-2022 Ford Edge with 2.0L, 2.7L, and 3.5L V6 engines, the 2017-2019 Ford Escape, and Lincoln MKZ, MKC, MKX, and Nautilus models from 2013 through 2021. Drivers who need this part are often dealing with a caliper that has seized or is sticking, causing uneven pad wear, brake drag, pulling to one side while braking, a hot wheel, a soft or spongy pedal, or fluid weeping past the piston seal. Installing a sound caliper restores even, controlled braking and protects the rotor and pads from further damage. The assembly is remanufactured to meet or exceed original equipment specifications and is supplied friction-ready as a bare housing, so the brake pads are ordered separately. Because it is a remanufactured unit, a core charge applies and the old caliper is returned as the core.
