  This genuine Ford Motorcraft constant velocity joint boot kit is the service replacement seal for the front halfshaft CV joints on the 2014 through 2019 Ford Fiesta. The boot is the accordion-pleated cover that wraps a CV joint, trapping the specialized joint grease inside while blocking water, dirt, and debris from reaching the bearing surfaces as the joint flexes with steering and suspension movement. Drivers usually come to this part after noticing grease flung around the inside of a front wheel, a split or cracked boot found during a tire rotation or oil change, or a rhythmic clicking and popping sound while cornering, which signals that a dry, contaminated joint has begun to wear. Replacing the torn boot promptly reseals and repacks the joint before the damage forces replacement of the entire halfshaft. The kit includes the boot, retaining clamps, and the proper CV grease, and is the same boot component that comes bundled with a full axle assembly, allowing a repair of just the seal when the joint remains in good condition. Correct service involves cleaning the old grease away, inspecting the joint, repacking it with the supplied lubricant, seating the new boot in its grooves, and clamping both ends securely so it will not leak.
