  This genuine Ford Turbocharger, part number FL3Z-6K682-D, is the left-hand driver side turbocharger assembly for the 2015-2017 Ford F-150 equipped with the 2.7L EcoBoost twin-turbocharged V6 gas engine, applicable to trucks built from August 2015. The 2.7L EcoBoost uses two turbochargers, and this unit mounts to the driver-side exhaust manifold where exhaust energy spins the turbine to compress intake air, raising manifold pressure so the small-displacement V6 produces the torque and horsepower of a much larger engine while improving efficiency. It includes the compressor and turbine housings, center bearing cartridge, and integral wastegate control. A failing turbocharger commonly announces itself with a loud whistle or grinding whine, blue exhaust smoke and rising oil consumption, oil leaks at the center housing, sluggish acceleration or a noticeable loss of boost, and stored underboost or turbo performance trouble codes.
