• Description:

  This Genuine Ford front CV axle shaft assembly transmits power from the transaxle to the right front wheel while allowing the wheel to steer and travel with the suspension. It is the passenger-side right-hand half-shaft for 2015 through 2018 Ford Fiesta models equipped with automatic transmission, and it comes complete with inner and outer constant-velocity joints, boots and clamps as a ready-to-install unit. Each CV joint uses precision bearings packed in grease and sealed by the boots; when a boot tears and slings grease, the joint runs dry and wears, which is why a failing axle is usually noticed as a rhythmic clicking or popping when turning, a clunk on acceleration or when shifting into gear, grease thrown onto the inner wheel and chassis, or a vibration that grows with speed. Replacing the complete shaft assembly restores smooth, quiet power delivery and eliminates the play and noise of a worn joint. As the OEM Ford part it matches the original spline count, length and joint articulation for a correct fit to the hub and transaxle. Important service note: the axle hub retaining nut and related fasteners are single-use torque-to-yield items and must not be reused; install new fasteners and torque them to Ford specification during assembly. Support the axle during removal to protect the transaxle seal, seat the inner joint fully, and confirm the outer splines pull up tight into the wheel hub. This direct-fit assembly returns factory driveline feel and reliability to the right front corner of the Fiesta.
