• Description:

  This genuine Ford front crankshaft seal, the timing-cover front oil seal, fits the Transit-150, 250, 350, and 350HD built from 2015 to 2019 with the 3.2L Power Stroke diesel engine. It seals around the front of the crankshaft where it passes through the timing cover, preventing engine oil from leaking past the rotating crankshaft. This part replaces the earlier 3S7Z-6700-A. A worn or hardened front seal is a common source of front-of-engine oil leaks, and replacing it with the correct original equipment seal restores a clean, oil-tight running surface. Because the seal is matched to the factory bore and shaft diameter, it installs to the correct depth and rides on the crankshaft as designed. When fitting this seal, inspect the crankshaft sealing surface for grooving or damage, install the seal squarely to the specified depth with the proper driver, lubricate the lip lightly per the procedure, and confirm there are no leaks after the engine is run. Replacing the seal during timing or front cover service avoids a repeat teardown.
