This genuine Motorcraft 315 MHz Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor, Ford service number F2GZ-1A189-A, is the wheel-mounted unit that measures each tire's air pressure and transmits it by radio frequency to the body control module so the cluster can warn the driver of a low tire. It fits a broad group of 2015 through roughly 2020-2025 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, with lead applications including F-150, Edge and Mustang. Buyers usually need it when the TPMS warning light stays on, the telltale flashes at startup, or a wheel reports no pressure, symptoms that appear once the sealed internal battery is exhausted after several years. This sensor operates at 315 MHz and must not be mixed with 433 MHz sensors on the same vehicle. Ford classifies it as a single-use part, so it should not be reinstalled once removed from a wheel. One sensor is fitted at each wheel, and a tire-pressure sensor relearn or programming procedure with an activation tool is required after installation so the module recognizes the new sensor and wheel position.
