This is the genuine Ford rear parking brake cable assembly for the passenger side of the 2015-2020 F-150, catalog name Cable Assy - Parking Brake (Rear Cable). It links the parking brake system to the passenger-side rear brake, carrying the mechanical pull that clamps the rear brake so the truck stays put when the parking brake is applied. It is the right-hand counterpart to the driver-side cable and is matched to the passenger-side routing and length on the standard F-150 without the electric park brake option, covering the common gas engine and drivetrain combinations for these trucks. Owners reach for this part when the parking brake no longer holds on an incline, the pedal or handle pulls with little resistance, the cable is visibly frayed or rusted, or a rear brake drags because a corroded cable will not fully release. Installing the correct passenger-side cable restores proper tension, free play and self-adjuster operation.
