• Description:

  This genuine Ford engine timing cover, also called the front cover, is the cast front housing for the 5.0L Coyote V8 in the 2015-2020 Mustang, including GT350 and GT350R applications without supercharger. The front cover encloses the front of the engine over the timing chains, variable cam timing phasers, and drive components, carries the front crankshaft seal, and provides sealing and mounting surfaces for the water pump and accessory drive. Because it seals oil at the front of the block, a warped, corroded, or damaged cover or a failed front seal shows up as an engine oil leak at the front of the motor, oil on the belt or accessory area, and low oil level. Buyers replace this cover after seal failure, damage during a timing job, or corrosion. Cataloged by Ford as an engine timing cover, FR3Z-6019-A is a direct factory replacement. Reseal with the correct gasket set on reassembly, take care to properly seat the front crankshaft seal, and torque all fasteners to Ford specification.
