  Genuine Ford OEM battery heat shield cover for the 2015 through 2023 F-150 equipped with the conventional gasoline engine and the 760-amp 94-series Group 94R battery. The shield wraps the battery to insulate against underhood heat soak, which is the primary driver of premature battery failure on the platform. This suffix is series-specific and the earlier FL3Z-10A687-B is the prior revision. Battery thermal management on the F-150 is significant: an unshielded battery in this platform commonly loses one to two years of service life compared to a properly shielded battery. The shield must match the battery group size; the 94-series shield does not fit the 48-series battery used on later builds with the alternate group size. Confirm the battery group on the existing battery's top label before ordering. non-OEM shields in this fitment commonly use a lower-grade reflective layer that degrades within the first year and ceases to perform thermally; the OEM shield retains its insulating property through full service life. Sold individually. Replace with original retention clips in good condition. If converting from 94 to 48 series battery, order the matching 48-series shield instead.
