  Part number FR3Z-18125-AG is a Genuine Ford rear shock absorber assembly for the 2015 through 2023 Ford Mustang S550 convertible built without the adaptive MagneRide damping option. The shock damps rear suspension movement, controlling body motion over bumps and during braking and cornering so the tire stays planted and the ride stays composed. This hydraulic damper mounts between the rear knuckle area and the body and fits both the driver and passenger corners on Base, GT, and 50th Anniversary convertibles running the standard non adaptive suspension. Worn rear shocks reveal themselves through a bouncy or floaty ride, excessive body rebound after bumps, nose dive under braking or tail squat under acceleration, uneven or cupped rear tire wear, clunking over rough pavement, and reduced stability during quick lane changes. Ford recommends replacing dampers in axle pairs so both rear corners deliver matched control. Confirm your Mustang does not have the adaptive damping package before ordering, as MagneRide equipped cars use a different electronically controlled shock that is not interchangeable with this unit.
