  This is the genuine Ford engine coolant reservoir, also cataloged as the radiator overflow tank or expansion tank, for the 2015-2024 Ford Edge, Lincoln MKX, and Lincoln Nautilus across the 2.0L, 2.7L, 3.5L, and 3.7L engines, covering Edge to the 1/4/16 build and the early 2.0L application to 01/03/2016. The reservoir holds the cooling system's expansion volume, giving hot coolant somewhere to go as it heats and expands and returning it to the engine as the system cools, while its cap and fill neck let the technician check and top off coolant level and let the system self-bleed trapped air. The molded tank also carries the minimum and maximum level marks used to judge coolant condition.
