  This Genuine Ford ML3Z-4841-A is the rear driveshaft slip yoke and coupling flange for 15-25 F-150 trucks across various wheelbases and driveshaft configurations including single-piece and 2-piece HD trailer-tow shafts. It supersedes FL3Z-4841-D on updated service builds. The slip yoke threads over the transfer case output shaft splines and allows the driveshaft to telescope in and out as the rear axle articulates over road imperfections and during heavy acceleration or braking, while the integrated coupling flange bolts to the front section of a 2-piece driveshaft or to the U-joint pattern on a single-piece shaft. Owners replace this part when the splines have worn enough to cause clunk on driveshaft takeoff, when the bushing inside the slip yoke leaks transfer case fluid, when corrosion has seized the slip motion and caused vibration at speed, or when a driveshaft repair requires the yoke section to be replaced separately from the rest of the shaft.
