• Description:

  This Motorcraft brake master cylinder is the hydraulic heart of the braking system on the full-size Ford Transit van, converting brake pedal force into hydraulic pressure that is distributed to the front and rear brake circuits. Fitting 2015 through 2025 Transit models, it corresponds to Ford engineering number CK4Z-2140-B and mounts to the brake booster, using internal primary and secondary pistons and seals to build the line pressure that clamps the pads against the rotors. A failing master cylinder produces a sinking or spongy brake pedal that slowly drops under steady foot pressure, uneven or reduced braking, or visible brake fluid seepage at the booster mating surface, and it can trigger a brake warning lamp. Internal seal bypass is a common failure that leaves the pedal feeling soft even after bleeding. This genuine Motorcraft unit is built to factory bore and displacement specification for correct pedal feel and circuit balance. Bench bleed the master cylinder before installation, then bleed the complete brake system to remove trapped air, and use fresh DOT-specified brake fluid. Note that a build-date split applies to this application, so confirm the reservoir and port configuration match the original before fitting.
