• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford front shock absorber strut assembly for 16-18 Ford Edge vehicles equipped with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine and front wheel drive. The strut also fits 2016 Lincoln MKX applications and supersedes earlier F2GZ-18125-E. The unit is a complete strut with damper, upper mount components, and shock body designed to control wheel motion and provide ride comfort, vehicle handling, and tire-to-road contact. Common failure modes include internal hydraulic seal leakage with visible oil weeping on the strut body, bushing wear at the upper mount causing knocking or clunking over bumps, bent strut rod from impact, and worn damping that allows excessive bounce after road inputs.
