• Description:

  This genuine Ford stabilizer bar is the original-equipment front sway bar for the 2016-2018 Ford Focus, cataloged by Ford as a Stabilizer Bar. Spanning the front suspension, it ties the left and right sides together and resists body roll during cornering, keeping the car flatter and more composed through turns while improving steering response and stability. Its diameter and rate are tuned to the Focus chassis to deliver the intended handling balance. A worn stabilizer bar system shows up as excessive body lean in corners, a clunk or rattle over bumps when the bar or its bushings and links are worn, vague or loose handling, or a bar that is bent or corroded after impact or long service. Fitting the correct genuine stabilizer bar restores factory roll control and a planted, predictable feel. It mounts to the subframe with bushings and brackets and connects to the struts through the stabilizer links, so it is good practice to inspect and renew the bushings and links at the same time for a complete, quiet repair. Torque all hardware to specification with the suspension at normal ride height.
