  This genuine Ford oil filler cap, cataloged as the Cap Assembly Oil Filler, seals the engine oil fill opening on the valve cover and maintains a positive seal for the crankcase ventilation system. It fits 2016 through 2019 Ford F-53 stripped motorhome chassis built with the 6.8L ten-cylinder EFI V10 engine, paired with either the 5R110W five-speed or the 6R140 six-speed automatic transmission in left-hand-drive rear-wheel-drive configuration. The cap twist-locks onto the oil fill neck and carries an integral rubber gasket that keeps oil vapor, dirt, and moisture out while allowing the crankcase ventilation system to regulate internal engine pressure. A worn or cracked cap, or a missing or hardened seal, can cause oil weeping around the fill neck, an oil smell in the engine bay, whistling from a vacuum leak, or a stored engine code for crankcase ventilation performance.
