  This genuine Ford fuel tank sender assembly, cataloged as Sender Assembly - Fuel Tank, measures the fuel level inside the tank of 2016 and later Ford F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks and sends a variable resistance signal to the instrument cluster so the gauge reads correctly. A float rides on the fuel surface and moves an arm across a resistor card, translating tank level into the gauge reading and the low-fuel warning. When the sender card wears or the float saturates, the fuel gauge reads erratically, sticks at full or empty, jumps around, or the low-fuel light behaves incorrectly even though the tank has fuel. The unit mounts in the tank, either integrated with the pump module or as a discrete sending unit, and is sealed against fuel vapor.
