Genuine Ford OEM crankshaft pulley bolt part number HL3Z-6A340-A, a torque-to-yield single-use fastener that secures the crankshaft pulley and harmonic balancer to the crankshaft snout. This bolt fits 16-25 Ford F-150 with the 3.3L gasoline, 3.5L EcoBoost turbo from 6/27/16 forward, 3.5L non-turbo dual alternators, 3.5L without turbo 13-19, or 3.7L from 8/16 forward, plus 17-25 Explorer, Flex, and Lincoln MKX, Nautilus, and Navigator with applicable 3.5L or 3.7L engines. This is a broad multi-platform multi-engine fastener within the HL3Z family. The bolt is torque-to-yield and must be replaced whenever the crankshaft pulley is removed; reuse is not permitted by Ford service procedure. Final torque is applied via a sequence specified in the workshop manual that includes both a torque value and an angular rotation step. Reusing torque-to-yield bolts commonly causes pulley slip under engine load, accessory drive misalignment, or in severe cases crankshaft snout damage. The bolt ships dry without pre-applied lubricant. Ships in original Ford packaging with the standard Ford limited parts warranty.
