This genuine Ford wheel stud, base number 1107, is a hub-mounted stud that retains the wheel on F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks. The stud presses into the hub or rotor and provides the threaded post the lug nut tightens onto, clamping the wheel to the hub so it runs true and carries the vehicle's load. As a safety-critical fastener subjected to clamp load, torque and road stress, a stripped, stretched, or broken stud must be replaced to restore proper wheel retention. Owners and fleets need this part when a stud has been cross-threaded or stripped, snapped during over-torque or service, or is being replaced during brake or hub work on the medium-duty front axle. A compromised wheel stud endangers wheel security and must be addressed before the vehicle returns to service. Manufactured to Ford specifications, it matches the original thread size, knurl and length for correct press fit and clamp load on the application. Press the stud fully home so the head seats flat against the hub, replace studs as needed across the hub, and torque the lug nuts to specification in the correct cross pattern. Inspect the hub and rotor stud bores for damage while the stud is out, and confirm the application before ordering.
