  Genuine Ford starter motor assembly for 17 model year Ford F-150 trucks with the 3.5L EcoBoost turbocharged V6 engine. The starter is the high-current electric motor that cranks the engine on cold and warm starts and is one of the components that wears out from sheer service hours. When the starter ages the symptoms range from a slower-than-original crank speed through to a single click on key turn with no engine rotation, often masked initially as a battery problem. The Ford-supplied starter carries the correct mounting flange, pinion drive engagement, and electrical connector for the 3.5L EcoBoost application and is dimensioned to bolt into the bell housing without modification. A core charge typically applies on the failed unit when the repair is processed through a Ford dealer.
