• Description:

  This genuine Ford inner tie rod connects the steering rack to the outer tie rod end and transfers steering input to the front wheels on 2017 through 2020 F-150 trucks. Threaded into the end of the power steering rack, it allows the front suspension to travel up and down while keeping the wheels pointed correctly, and its internal ball socket lets the linkage articulate through the full range of steering and suspension motion. Drivers who need this part are usually experiencing loose or vague steering, a clunk or knocking sensation over bumps, uneven or accelerated inner tire wear, or a failed alignment caused by play in the worn socket. A torn inner boot that lets grit and water into the joint is a common root cause of premature failure. Replacing the inner tie rod restores tight steering response and allows the front end to hold an alignment.
