• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford engine water pump for 17-22 F-150, Expedition, and Navigator equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. The pump is the cast aluminum housing with internal impeller, shaft, and bearing pack that circulates coolant through the engine block and head water jackets, the heater core, and the radiator. It is belt-driven from the front of the engine and is one of the most heavily duty-cycled rotating assemblies in the cooling system. A pump showing weep at the weep hole, bearing growl, or impeller separation is a top-priority replacement because a complete failure typically takes the engine into overheat in a short distance and can damage head gaskets and the turbo system. The OEM service pump is a direct replacement at the original gasket interface and pulley pattern. Replace with a new coolant fill of the published specification, bleed the cooling system using the Ford procedure, and verify pump operation by watching upper hose firmness once thermostat opens. Use a fresh accessory belt and tensioner check at the same service if mileage warrants.
