  This is a Genuine Ford OEM Valve Cover Gasket for the right-hand passenger side cylinder bank of the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine, fitting 17-22 Ford F-150, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator. Ford's catalog name is Valve Cover Gasket - Passenger Side (RH), and the dealer-level description is Expedition, Navigator, Right, F150, 3.5L, with the note that the gasket is included as part of the valve cover assembly when ordered new at the assembly level. The gasket seals between the cast aluminum valve cover and the cylinder head, keeping pressurized engine oil contained within the valvetrain and preventing oil from weeping down the side of the engine block onto exhaust manifolds, accessory drives, and ignition components. Symptoms that point to a failed 6584 gasket include a visible oil weep along the lower edge of the valve cover on the passenger side, a burning oil smell after the engine warms up (oil dripping onto the hot exhaust manifold), oil pooling in the spark plug wells, ignition coil pack misfires from oil contamination, and a slowly dropping oil level with no obvious external leak elsewhere.
