• Description:

  This Motorcraft brake master cylinder reservoir cap closes the brake fluid reservoir on Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks equipped with hydro-boost brakes, sealing the DOT brake fluid against moisture, road dust, and debris while its integral vented diaphragm allows the reservoir to breathe as fluid level falls with normal brake pad wear. Fitting 2017 through 2022 Super Duty pickups in regular cab, super cab, and crew cab configurations including dual rear wheel models, it seats onto the reservoir neck to form an airtight yet self-venting closure that keeps water out of the hydraulic system. Because brake fluid is hygroscopic, a cracked, deformed, or poorly sealing cap lets moisture in, lowering the fluid boiling point and producing a soft or fading pedal under heavy towing. Owners install this genuine Motorcraft cap when the original is damaged, brittle, leaking, or missing, or when a low brake fluid indicator points to a failed diaphragm seal. It restores factory sealing and venting specification and protects the master cylinder, hydro-boost unit, and ABS module from contamination. Verify the diaphragm is intact and the neck is clean before fitting.
