This is the genuine Ford automatic transmission oil cooler tube for 2017 through 2022 Ford F-250 and related F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks, fitting the 6.2L gas V8, 6.8L V10, and 6.7L Power Stroke diesel with the 6R100 or 6R140 automatic. Ford catalogs this as the Oil Cooler Tube Assembly, an outlet tube that carries transmission fluid between the transmission and the external cooler so heat generated in the gearbox is shed before the fluid returns. Keeping automatic transmission fluid within its temperature range is critical to clutch and seal life, and a leaking, corroded, or damaged cooler tube causes fluid loss, low fluid level, overheating, slipping or delayed engagement, and reddish fluid puddles under the truck.
