• Description:

  This Genuine Ford engine mount insulator assembly fits 17-22 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine, or the 6.2L gas V8 with four-wheel drive. It supersedes the earlier HC3Z-6038-F and is used at either the left or right position. The engine mount locates the engine on the frame crossmember and damps engine vibration and torque reaction loads through a hydraulically damped bonded elastomer element. A failed mount causes harsh idle vibration in the cab, clunking on acceleration and during torque reversal at light throttle, and at the limit allows the engine to contact body or accessory drive components. non-OEM mounts commonly use inferior elastomer compounds or non-hydraulic construction that does not damp diesel idle harmonics correctly. The retaining bolts and nuts are torque-to-yield single-use fasteners and must be replaced any time the mount is removed. Support the engine with a transmission jack and dedicated cradle during the install, then torque the new fasteners to the published specification in the correct sequence.
