• Description:

  This Genuine Ford oil pan gasket fits 17-22 F-Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine. It supersedes the earlier LC3Z-6710-B and is the current service part for the 6.7L oil pan sealing application. The oil pan gasket seals the oil pan to the cylinder block lower rail and timing cover, retaining engine oil inside the sump while allowing the dipstick tube and oil drain plug to seal correctly. A leaking oil pan gasket allows oil to weep down the lower block and front cover seam onto crossmembers and chassis components, can drip onto the exhaust manifold downpipe and turbocharger area, and can fool a technician into chasing other oil leak sources such as the rear main seal or valve cover. non-OEM pan gaskets commonly use inferior elastomers or incorrect bolt-hole spacing, leading to slow seepage and uneven clamp load. The gasket is a one-time-use sealing element; when the oil pan is removed for any reason, replace the gasket before reassembly. Clean both mating surfaces thoroughly, install the pan gasket dry unless the workshop manual specifies otherwise, and torque the pan bolts in the cross pattern to the published specification.
