• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford trailer hitch receiver reducer adapter for 2017 to 2022 Ford F-250 F-350 F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks equipped with the factory 3 inch receiver tube. The adapter is a stepped steel sleeve that slides into the larger 3 inch hitch opening and reduces it down to accept a standard 2.5 inch ball mount or shank, letting you run smaller class ball mounts, hitch mounted accessories and adapters in a heavy duty receiver without slop. It installs by sliding the sleeve into the receiver and securing it with the factory hitch pin and clip. Owners typically need this part when they have a truck with the 3 inch receiver but own 2.5 inch shank equipment, or when an original reducer has been lost, seized or corroded so a ball mount rattles or will not seat. It follows Ford service specification per SSM 47501 and is duty class keyed, this variant stepping a 3 inch opening down to 2.5 inch. The hitch pin HC3Z-19A326-A is a separate component and is not included. Use the correct pin and clip and confirm your ball mount rating before towing to maintain the rated capacity of the receiver.
