• Description:

  This is a Genuine Ford thermostat housing O-ring carrying Ford part number HL3Z-8527-B. The O-ring serves the right hand sealing position on the thermostat housing of the 3.5L EcoBoost engine in the 17-23 F-150, covering both the 14th generation 17-20 trucks and the 15th generation 21-23 trucks. The companion left hand O-ring on the same housing is the HL3Z-8507-D, and the two are typically replaced together during any thermostat housing service. The O-ring is constructed of an OEM specification elastomer rated for long life Ford coolant and the elevated underhood temperatures seen on EcoBoost engines. Substituting a generic O-ring is a frequent cause of recurring coolant weeps after thermostat service, because non-OEM rings often differ in cross section and hardness from the factory specification. This part ships in original Ford OEM packaging. Installation should occur whenever the thermostat housing is opened.
