This Genuine Ford fuel pump driver module is the electronic controller that regulates operation of the returnless electric fuel pump on 2017-2023 F-150 and Mustang applications. Also called a fuel pump control module or fuel pump controller, it takes a duty-cycle command from the powertrain control module and delivers the correct variable voltage to the in-tank pump so fuel delivery is matched to engine demand across idle, cruise, and wide-open throttle. Mounted outside the tank, the module is a common failure point that can leave a vehicle cranking but not starting, or cause intermittent stalling, hard hot-starts, low fuel pressure codes, and a no-start after the module overheats. Because it directly manages pump output, a failed driver module often mimics a failed pump, so many owners test and replace this controller first.
