Genuine Ford water-in-fuel sensor and probe for 17-and-later F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke turbo diesel engine. The WIF sensor is the probe in the bottom of the fuel-water separator that detects when accumulated water has reached the threshold at which the operator should drain the bowl. The unit supersedes the original HC3A-9T321-A revision and is the current Ford service part. When the sensor fails the symptoms range from a false water-in-fuel warning lamp on a freshly drained separator to no warning at all when water has actually accumulated to a level that puts the high-pressure pump and injectors at risk. The Ford-supplied probe carries the correct conductive probe, body seal, and electrical connector to mount into the separator housing and seal reliably against the fuel and water mix at the bottom of the bowl. Replacement is straightforward once the housing is accessed.
