• Description:

  Genuine Ford OEM left-hand intake camshaft part number HL3Z-6250-G, the driver-side intake cam that controls valve timing on the LH cylinder head. This camshaft fits 17-24 Ford F-150 trucks equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost with turbocharger, 18-24 Expedition with the 3.5L EcoBoost, and 18-24 Lincoln Navigator with the 3.5L EcoBoost. The part supersedes earlier service number HL3Z-6250-B. This camshaft is part of the well-known Gen2 3.5L EcoBoost phaser wear issue, where the cam phaser bearing wears prematurely and creates a characteristic timing rattle on cold start. Replacement of the camshaft alone may not solve the rattle since the phaser, timing chain, and tensioner all contribute to the noise; Ford technical service bulletins typically call for replacement of the full timing set including new phasers, chains, guides, tensioners, and camshafts together. The camshaft ships with the lobes, journals, and bearing surfaces finished to factory specification but without phasers or sprockets attached.
