Genuine Ford OEM automatic transmission flexplate and drive plate part number HL3Z-6375-A, the toothed drive disc that couples the crankshaft to the torque converter. This flexplate fits 17-25 Ford F-150 with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, 21-25 Bronco, 20-25 Explorer, and 18-25 Lincoln Navigator. The flexplate carries the starter ring gear teeth on its outer diameter and includes the torque converter mounting pads with threaded bosses. Replacement is appropriate when the ring gear teeth strip or wear, when the flexplate cracks at the torque converter pad welds, or when the plate distorts and causes a wobble visible during a crankshaft turn. A failed flexplate often produces a metallic clanking noise that varies with engine RPM and can damage the torque converter front pump if the wobble continues. Ford service procedures call for new flexplate bolts on every install since the original bolts are torque-to-yield, and inspection of the torque converter pads for cracks before final torque.
