Genuine Ford OEM 10R80 transmission filter and gasket assembly part number HL3Z-7A098-A. This filter fits 17-25 Ford F-150, Mustang, Expedition, Explorer, Police Interceptor Utility, Ranger, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with the 10R80 ten-speed automatic transmission. The filter is also cross-referenced as Motorcraft FT-202. Replacement is recommended at every major transmission service interval, typically aligned with the factory transmission fluid change schedule, or whenever the transmission pan is dropped for any service work. Reusing the original filter is not recommended even at lower mileage since the integrated pan gasket is single-use and the filter media accumulates wear debris that cannot be cleaned out. The filter assembly includes the suction tube, filter media housing, and the integrated pan gasket as a single service unit. Ford recommends replacing the gasket with the new filter as a complete assembly. Installation requires a measured fluid refill using Mercon LV transmission fluid to factory specification, verified by scan tool fluid temperature reading.
