This is the front steering damper (stabilizer) for 2017 through 2025 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty 4WD trucks, and for Ford F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the Wide Track Front Suspension monobeam configuration. It supersedes a long list of earlier part numbers including BC3Z-3E651-B, HC3Z-3E651-B/D/F, KC3Z-3E651-A/B/D/E, ASH-12211, ASH-25797, and ASH-866167. The damper is a hydraulic shock-style component that damps lateral steering inputs and reduces wheel shimmy. Use this part when the original is leaking oil, has lost damping force, or has been bent in an off-road event. Note the application differentiation: the -G suffix is the 4WD F-250/F-350 SD and the Wide Track Front Suspension F-450/F-550 SD monobeam version. The -C suffix is for 2WD twin-I-beam, and -K is for the newer AWD/HD-suspension 23-25 applications. Confirm against the VIN, the drive configuration, and the front suspension type before ordering. This is a genuine Ford OEM piece.
