  This is the genuine Ford transfer case input shaft seal used on 2017-2025 Ford Super Duty trucks equipped with the Tremor Off-Road Package. The seal rides on the transfer case input shaft where it meets the transmission output, retaining transfer case lubricant while keeping dirt, water, and road debris out of the case. It uses a fluoroelastomer sealing lip with a steel-encased outer race pressed into the case bore at an interference fit. When this seal hardens, cracks, or wears, drivers notice fluid seepage or drips at the transmission-to-transfer-case junction, a low transfer case fluid level, a burnt gear-oil smell, and over time whining or engagement problems from the transfer case as lubricant is lost. Replacing it is standard practice any time the transfer case is separated from the transmission or when a leak is traced to the input area. Ford catalogs this simply as the Seal; genuine construction ensures the correct lip material, spring tension, and outer-diameter fit for a leak-free installation. This is a single-use seal and should be replaced, not reused, whenever the case is opened; lubricate the lip and press it squarely into the bore to full depth to avoid distortion and leaks.
