This is a Genuine Ford thermostat housing gasket and O-ring carrying Ford part number HL3Z-8255-A. The gasket is used across a broad range of late-model Ford vehicles including 17-26 F-150 trucks, Bronco, Bronco Sport, Ranger, and the Lincoln Corsair, Nautilus, and Navigator. Engine applications include the 3.5L EcoBoost, the 2.3L EcoBoost, and the 2.0L EcoBoost depending on the platform. The gasket is included with a complete thermostat housing assembly but is also sold separately when only the seal is being replaced during cooling system service. Using the correct OEM gasket is important because non-OEM sealing rings frequently differ in cross section or hardness, leading to coolant weeps at the thermostat housing flange. This unit is supplied in original Ford packaging and is intended as a direct replacement for the factory installed gasket. Installation requires cleaning of the housing and engine mating surfaces, careful seating of the gasket without distortion, and torquing of housing fasteners to factory specification. After installation the cooling system should be filled and bled following the Ford workshop procedure for the specific engine to remove trapped air at the thermostat and water pump.
