• Description:

  This Genuine Ford power steering pump with pulley fits 17-26 F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Super Duty trucks with the 6.7L Power Stroke diesel engine without active steering. It is a service supersession that consolidates earlier HC3Z-3A674-A, HC3Z-3A674-F, HC3Z-3A674-G, and LC3Z-3A674-A part numbers, and crosses to Motorcraft STP-295, STP-321, and STP-323. The pump generates the hydraulic pressure that powers the steering gear, drawing fluid from the reservoir and delivering it through the high-pressure line to the input port of the steering box. Symptoms of a worn pump include groaning under steering load at low rpm, slow return to center, intermittent assist loss, and fluid foaming or aeration in the reservoir. non-OEM pumps are commonly mis-spec on shaft seal quality and pulley press fit, leading to premature leaks and noise. This OEM pump ships with the pulley pre-pressed to factory specification. Bench-fill the pump with the correct fluid, install with the high and low-pressure lines properly torqued, refill the reservoir, then bleed the system per the published procedure to remove all entrained air.
