This genuine Ford engine cover is the top engine appearance and acoustic cover for the 2018-2020 F-150 2.7L EcoBoost, snapping over the top of the engine to provide a finished look while helping muffle injector and mechanical noise. Cataloged by Ford as Cover, it seats onto the factory mounting grommets and standoffs on the 2.7L Nano engine and shields the top of the powertrain from view and debris. A cover is typically replaced after it is cracked, warped, discolored, or heat-damaged, or when the mounting points no longer hold it securely and it rattles, buzzes, or sits unevenly. Fitting is tool-free in most cases: line the cover up with the factory ball studs or grommets and press it into place until it seats fully, taking care not to force cracked mounting bosses that could break during installation. Inspect the rubber isolator grommets and replace any that are torn, hardened, or missing so the cover mounts snugly and does not vibrate against the engine during operation. This is the correct appearance cover for the 2.7L EcoBoost application and restores the factory look and noise damping to the top of the engine.
