• Description:

  This is the Genuine Ford upper oxygen sensor for 18-20 F-150 equipped with the 5.0L Coyote V8 or the 3.3L V6 engine, in the front driver-side position. It is the upstream pre-catalyst HEGO sensor that the PCM uses for primary fuel control on the left bank of the engine. The sensor is calibrated to the specific exhaust pulse, harness length, and connector that this generation truck uses on the left side, and the OEM construction provides the response time and signal integrity that the engine controller expects. A failing left-bank upstream oxygen sensor shows up as slow response on bank 1, fuel trim drift, and P-code 0030 and 0150 family faults. This is the correct OEM service sensor for the upper left position on these engines. Install with the engine cool, anti-seize on the threads where Ford specifies, the published torque value applied with the correct torque tool, and the connector seated fully into the body harness. Clear fault codes and verify long-term fuel trims return to a tight range over a complete warm-up cycle on the freshly installed sensor.
